Water Park at Hotel Gran Surya (2* hotel).
Large water park in the grounds next door to the hotel Grand Surya in Seririt 20 minutes from Lovina. Not as big as Waterbom in Kuta, but lots of slides, pools, shade and fun. The cost is $10 a person, and an extra $5.50 to hire a large double or single tube for the river or large slide. They have a restaurant serving basic food like nasi goreng and mie goreng. North Bali Adventures Lovina - Floating an Idea
Their vision is to develop an internationally recognised world-class action and adventure water sporting facility in Lovina, with one of the biggest ocean going inflatable water parks capable of keeping up to 200 adventure seekers actively entertained at a time. However, North Bali Adventure has been urged to tow the floating water park to shore until licenses and permits are sorted. Look out for the colourful floating water park on your next visit.
If you love dolphins and would like to get up close with some, then swim with dolphins at Melka Hotel in their large covered sea-water pools.
If you feel like bathing in hot springs in a jungle setting, head up to Banjar Hot Spring, above the Buddhist Temple. Only Rp 15.000 per person.
Sailing trips in traditional outriggers.
Although you will see a flotilla of yachts off Lovina Beach, unless you know one of the owners you might have to settle for a sail in one of the local “jukungs”. No problems; just saunter along the beach, have a look at the boats on offer and settle on a price for the same day or the next. Of course if you want to get in some arm exercise, you can hire a kayak and head off into the Lovina ”Lake”.
Fishing off North Coast. Catch and return or catch and cook.
Your hotel concierge will know how to organize a fishing trip in a small outrigger, a larger boat or a much larger boat with all the right equipment for catching "the big one". You can either “catch and return” or keep your catch to brag to the family back at your hotel, as well as share it once the chef has done his wonders on your prize..
Inland water sports
Now if you don’t have sea legs, you may want to accept to be a passenger in a twin canoe-outrigger on Lake Tamblingan just over the mountain. In this case you should contact one of the wilderness companies in Munduk and go on a trek which includes a visit to the Lake. There might even be some more water involved, like if you choose to visit any of the local waterfalls.
Ask about Gitgit, a multi-tiered 40m waterfall between Bedugul and Singaraja. Take time to sit and relax with the sound of the water falling on the boulders.
Sing Sing: A smaller waterfall close to Lovina.
Sekumpul Waterfall east of Singaraja.
Yeh Mempeh: A waterfall up from the coast near Les Village in Tejakula.
Air Sanih: Freshwater springs close to and east of Singaraja
Canyoning in Gitgit. A French company"Adventure & Spirit" headquartered down at Mas will take you on the rope courses at Gitgit or other canyons. This activity is an ultimate outdoor adventure and sport using a variety of techniques that may include walking, abseiling, jumping, sliding down natural slopes and swimming in white water for aquatic canyons. Another way to discover beautiful and hidden places in the heart of Bali.
Lovina Beach is a 12 km stretch of coast to the North West of
Singaraja in North Bali. It is several resorts rather than one. It is
comprised of several narrow stretches of black volcanic sand. Lovina,
like most of Bali, fills up with tourists from all over the world in
August and Australians at Chrismass. Lovina is a nice break from the
bustle of the South. These days the mix of tourists is mainly families
and couples rather than the backpackers of yesteryear.
One of my favourite temples on the island of Bali and one that is rarely visited by tourists and travellers alike is Pura Beji. The temple is located in the north of Bali in Sangsit around eight kilometres east of Singaraja
and if you didn’t know of its location one could easily pass right by
it. Look out for the small sign on the left side of the road if you are
coming from Singaraja. Follow the dusty path down to the sea.
The temple was built in the 15th century during the Majapahit period and is considered to be one of the oldest temples in Bali. Being a subak temple it means that it is dedicated to the goddess Dewi Sri who protects the irrigated rice fields. The temple was actually built on the site of a well.
Pura Beji represents a perfect example of the northern rococo
style of temple carving, with strange off-angle symmetry. The temple
was built of easily carved soft pink sandstone and its walls are
decorated with sculptures of demons, snakes and devils.
The Candi Bentar is amazing and is composed of naga-snakes and imaginary beasts, devils, as well as leyak guardians. Inside the large inner courtyard you will see old kamboja trees. Of particular interest are the wooden statues and a throne of the sun-god. I was amazed to find some carvings of Dutch musicians. Quite unusual. Entrance fee is by way of a donation and temple sashes are for hire at the entrance.

Sightseeings
In Lovina, you can find a plentiful supply of wondrous things to goggle at, whether it is numerous amazing vistas and sceneries or interesting place of interests such as Brahma Vihara Arama (the largest Buddhist monastery in Bali) or Les Waterfall in Singaraja. Bat caves (the real ones, not the superhero kind)? You can see them as well. Temples with monkeys? You can visit the Pulaki Temple on the west of Lovina—just watch for your belongings!Or… just lazing around to relax
Of course, if you do not want to bother yourself with various excursions and activities, you can do that as well without making your vacation any less enjoyable than otherwise. You can lying around on the private beach of our villa while getting the sun tan from the famous sun of Bali while enjoying the calming, lulling sound of waves splashing on the beach… that is certainly not a bad idea to pass the time.
